Fitting guidelines
You can have the best clothes, but if they donโt fit right, youโll still look bad. Proper fit makes you look sharper, taller, and more confident.
Hereโs how your clothes should fit for the best look.
1. Shirts & T-Shirts
โ Shoulders: Seams should sit exactly where your shoulders end. โ Sleeves: Shouldnโt be too loose or too tight โ just fitted around your arms. โ Length: Should cover your belt but not go past your crotch. โ Fit: Slim but not skin-tight. You should be able to move comfortably.
โ Too big? You look sloppy. Too tight? You look squeezed.
2. Pants & Jeans
โ Waist: Should sit snugly without a belt. No excess fabric bunching up. โ Leg Fit: Slim or straight-leg works best. Skinny jeans are risky unless youโre lean. โ Length: Should lightly touch the top of your shoes โ no stacking or dragging.
๐ก Pro Tip: Get your pants tailored if theyโre too long. Itโs cheap and makes a big difference.
3. Jackets & Blazers
โ Shoulders: Should fit perfectly โ too big makes you look sloppy. โ Sleeves: Should end at your wrist, showing a little bit of your shirt cuff. โ Length: Should cover your belt but not go far past it.
โ If the shoulders are off, donโt buy it. Tailors can fix a lot, but not bad shoulders.
4. Shoes
โ Snug but comfortable โ your feet shouldnโt slide inside. โ Avoid overly bulky shoes โ they make your feet look too big.
โ If they crease too much when you walk, theyโre too big.
5. General Fit Rules
โ Clothes should skim your body, not squeeze it. โ If something fits almost perfectly, get it tailored. โ Always try on clothes before buying โ sizes vary between brands.
Good fit makes cheap clothes look expensive. Avoid baggy, oversized, or overly tight clothing. If something doesnโt fit right, fix it or donโt wear it.
