# Basic anti-aging measures

Wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark spots make you look older and tired. The two best ways to keep your face looking young and sharp are sunscreen and retinoids.

***

### **1. Sunscreen (SPF 30-50)**

☀️ Sun damage = wrinkles, dark spots, and faster aging. Even if it’s cloudy, UV rays break down your skin over time.

Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30-50 every morning. Apply to your face, neck, and hands (they age too). Choose a light, oil-free sunscreen if you have acne-prone skin.

❌ Skipping sunscreen = premature wrinkles.

***

### **2. Retinoids (nighttime only, 2-3x perr week to start)**

🧴 **Retinoids (like retinol, tretinoin, or adapalene) increase collagen and smooth wrinkles.**

Use a **pea-sized** amount at night after washing your face. Start **2-3x per week**, then increase if your skin tolerates it. Always **moisturize after applying retinoids** to prevent dryness.

❌ Never mix with harsh exfoliants.\
❌ Always use sunscreen — retinoids make skin more sensitive to the sun.
