Footwear choices
Your footwear affects your height, posture, and overall appearance. The wrong shoes can make you look shorter and sloppy, while the right ones can give you extra height and better posture.
I'm only talking about heigh, posture, and health here. Not about style. We will talk about shoes style in the next unit.
Shoes That Make You Look Taller

β Boots with a Thick Sole. Chelsea boots, combat boots, and work boots can add 1-2 inches instantly. β High-Top Sneakers, Some styles have thicker soles that subtly increase height. β Chunky Running Shoes. Modern athletic shoes (like Nike Air Max) add height without looking unnatural.
π‘ Avoid super flat shoes (like Converse or Vans) if you want to maximize height.
Height-Increasing Insoles

β Lift Insoles. Add 1-2 inches inside most shoes. β Full-Length Height Insoles. Provide even height increase without looking unnatural. β Memory Foam or Orthopedic Insoles. Improve comfort and posture, especially if you stand a lot.
π‘ Choose insoles wisely β cheap ones can be uncomfortable for long-term wear.
I also don't recommend to wear insoles on daily basics. This can be bad for your feet health.
Footwear and Posture
Your shoes should support your feet and spine. Poor footwear leads to bad posture, back pain, and even shorter appearance.
β Look for shoes with arch support. Helps prevent slouching. β Avoid cheap, unsupportive shoes. They ruin your posture over time. β Rotate your shoes. Wearing the same pair daily wears them out faster.
Final Advice
Wear shoes that add height naturally. Use insoles for an extra boost when needed. Choose supportive shoes to improve posture.
Your footwear matters. Wear the right shoes, stand taller.
