# Face shape guidelines
Your **face shape** plays a huge role in how attractive you look. The right **hairstyle, beard, and even glasses** depend on it. If you pick the wrong style, you can make your face look worse β too round, too long, or unbalanced. *Note that **there are no bad face shapes** β only wrong style matchings.*
This lesson will help you **identify your face shape** and make sure youβre maximizing your look.

### **How to Find Your Face Shape**
π **What You Need:** A mirror, a soft measuring tape (or a ruler), and a photo of yourself facing forward.
**Measure These Key Areas**
* **Forehead width** β Measure across the widest part of your forehead.
* **Cheekbone width** β Measure from one cheekbone to the other.
* **Jawline width** β Measure from the tip of your chin to the edge of your jaw, then multiply by 2.
* **Face length** β Measure from your hairline to the bottom of your chin.
